Job Description

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist faculty with college policies and procedures, process requests for office supplies, and distribute materials to faculty
  • Request and monitor the submission of syllabi and faculty office hours
  • Notify students of class changes/cancellations
  • Notify Department Chair, Lead Faculty, and Campus Administrators when instructor is absent or a class is moved, and post notice on classroom
  • Establish, organize, and maintain appropriate records and files (syllabi, exams, adjunct records, evaluations, etc.)
  • Access student records
  • Greet and assist visitors, provide information regarding college services, class schedules, degree programs, registration procedures, etc.
  • Answer and route telephone calls, take messages and check voicemail
  • Maintain Xerox machine, fax and printers; notify technician for needed repairs
  • Notify Facilities of equipment repairs/replacement and OTS for classroom equipment/needs
  • Distribute incoming mail
  • Manage print requests
  • Other duties assigned by Department Chair


Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records, answering telephones, and reviewing forms, documents and other written materials; ORsix months of experience as an Administrative Aid in Nevada State service; ORan equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite, Workday, Outlook, 25Live, eFollett and MyCSN.


Salary Range

Grade 23, Step 1-Grade 23, Step 10

$31,403.52-$45,152.56
