The Department of Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations at Boston University seeks to hire a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor whose research in media science advances computational communication in health communication and/or political communication.

Established in 1947, the College of Communication (COM) at Boston University has three departments: Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations; Journalism, and Film and Television. Required Skills
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in communication or a related field, as well as an active program of research. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the potential to develop a national or international reputation as a scholar. Candidates for this position should have the capacity to teach and develop a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in BU's media science degree programs, with a strong focus on computational communication methods, social media analytics, and quantitative research methods in the context of health or politics. In addition to teaching, this role will include mentoring students to achieve their educational and professional goals, and conducting service for the College of Communication and Boston University through participation in various committees.
